Safe Environment Training (Protecting God's Children) UPDATE
Per the requirements of the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, a review of the Diocese of Joliet’s policies and procedures was conducted. This process that began at the beginning of 2021 has been reviewed and approved as of July 15, 2021 by Bishop Hicks.
1.) VIRTUS On-line training will continue. This means All Volunteers who work with children and youth here at Resurrection Catholic church will need to review and electronically sign off on the newly the revised 7/15/2021 policies and standards documents:
A.) “Policy Regarding Sexual Abuse of Minors and Vulnerable Adults” and
B.) “Standards of Behavior for Those Working with Minors and Vulnerable Adults”
2.) For those Volunteers who have not set up a Virtus account: Go to www.virtusonline.org. Click on FIRST TIME REGISTRANT and proceed to follow the on-screen instructions. After completing the registration process, return to your Virtus account home page to OPEN the TOOLBOX tab on the left side of the screen and click TRAINING.
