Sacraments
The Latin word sacramentum means "a sign of the sacred." The seven sacraments are ceremonies that point to what is sacred, significant and important for Christians. They are special occasions for experiencing God's saving presence. That's what theologians mean when they say that sacraments are at the same time signs and instruments of God's grace.
Confirmation
Youth preparing for Confirmation are challenged to deepen their commitment to their own formation.
Marriage
All couples must contact the pastor at least six months prior to the wedding at (630) 289-5400 ext. 203. They must attend an Engaged Encounter Weekend sponsored by the Center for Family Ministry of the Diocese of Joliet. Also, the couple must complete a Focus survey given to them by the pastor.
Reconciliation & Eucharist
Their families, with the help and guidance of our Elementary Faith Formation team and catechists, lead children preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Through the Sacramental Preparation process, all involved are given the opportunity to grow deeper in faith together.
Baptism
Parents of those to be baptized must attend a baptismal preparation session held on the 4th Wednesday of each month, unless you’ve previously had a child baptized at Resurrection. To register for classes, please contact the Parish Office at (630) 289-5400. Baptisms are celebrated on the 1st and 3rd weekend of the month.
